Snow came this morning, so we stayed in GTown.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

It's Christmas Eve and the snow is still on the ground. The weathermen have said 23" fell here. It's still beautiful, freezes at night; it's just difficult to get in and out of one's parking place. The plowing has created banks along the road to crowd your car in.

Mrs. T is home today, so she and Miss C made a snowman to keep the one we made yesterday company. Maybe we'll make a crowd!

Big Snow

The big storm that hit the Mid-Atlantic states hit us in GTown.

It snowed all day yesterday, and today we found this:

So yesterday as the storm was raging, I stayed in and made things!

Mrs T helped me drop this bear for the Toy Society's 2009 Christmas Drop.

Mrs T took it on the train with her to Center City and dropped it at the train station.

I hope someone finds it to enjoy.

New Hope

There's a new guy in my group of friends, and I got to meet him yesterday in New Hope. J who went with me to WADC for the inauguration is engaged to S from Denver. They have set a wedding date; and the love just oozes out of them. Hooray!

On our way home, Miss C and I sang Christmas songs. After hearing, "Up on the Housetop," she decided that she would like Santa to bring her a bunny: purple or yellow, with a baby bunny in the pocket.

N's art and music

Son N continues to create in multiple areas: playwright, artist, musician. He is writing, directing, and producing a one hour sketch comedy to be presented in January. His band has a gig tomorrow night, and his latest art work delights.

We visited the new Whatcom Art Museum. A wonderful new building with a great opening exhibit. Nice day in the 'Ham.

Thank you, thank you, Julian, for reporting that you found my toy! I am so excited! I'm glad you like it; it makes me want to make more!! (You can see the toy that Julian found on my entry of November 1, 2009.)

December 10

December 10 today.

Saint C's Day; a day for hot spicy food; going to the latest adventure movie;

remembering.

And you can see the Advent Calendar that Mrs T and I have made.

A mitten, hat, or stocking is hung up each day.

We had fun creating the hats, mittens, stockings,

and Mrs T, Mr T, and Miss C will enjoy them as a new Christmas tradition.

Hood Canal

A glorious morning to get to Seattle and wake up at Hood Canal.

J and I are talking and talking and catching up on everything.

There was fog with blue sky right behind. It's wonderful sleeping where

the tide comes right up to the house.

We watched ducks and loons and other un-named waterfowl.

Could the Olympic Mountains be any more gorgeous?

Baby Brother

Brother J is 60 (at the end of the month,) so his daughter hosted a party and I got to go!
